JI SU JANG
The monograph <Jejudo, 기억의 지층> by Hyung-Geun Park has been published simultaneously in Europe and Korea. This photo book brings together around 90 selected works from three major series that Park has developed over the past 17 years: Forbidden Forest, Jejudo, and the Tumen River Project.
Renowned critics Elisa Medde and Professor Nayoon Jang have contributed insightful essays that accompany the photographs, offering thoughtful reflections on Park’s practice.
The publication is the result of a special collaboration between Korea-based photography publisher Vostok Press, which led the planning and editing, and Dutch art book publisher The Eriskay Connection (@eriskayconnection), which handled the design and production. This joint effort has resulted in a beautifully crafted volume, with a layout and binding that organically weave together the distinct bodies of work, and with exceptional attention paid to the reproduction of subtle tones and colors throughout the book.
